Kofi Annan Prize for Innovation in Africa
The Kofi Annan Prize for Innovation in Africa is a new start-up competition launched by the Federal Chancellery together with several partner organisations. In the first round, young African companies that offer innovative digital solutions with a focus on health were sought. The winners will be honored by Chancellor Karl Nehammer on July 11th.

European Forum Alpbach
After two exceptional years, the European Forum Alpbach is planned again this year as a large-scale event with 4.000 participants on site. The conference in the Tyrolean mountain village is entitled "The New Europe" and will for the first time take place in two parts: The focus of the conference week (22nd to 27th August) is on content and networking, while in the Lab Week (27th August to 2 September) ideas and solutions for the future of Europe are to be developed in small groups.
