A report presented by the Court of Auditors in July does not go very well with the Austrian measures to implement the Agenda 2030 and the 17 Global SDG Sustainable Development Goals. The report criticizes the fact that there is neither an overall state SDG strategy nor concrete measures with which both the former and the current federal government would have referred directly to the SDG. The reporting is also poor. Dozens of states have again this year at the "High Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development"

In New York, they presented their reports on the national implementation of the SDG, 111 states have already done so altogether. In contrast, Austria intends to submit a report to 2020 for the first time. The Court recommends the preparation of a national sustainability strategy. In addition, the mandatory consideration of the SDG should be anchored in the objectives of the Federal Government and a national steering committee should be set up to implement the development goals.
